Destitute Grant
About the grant
It is possible to send and application for the Destitute Grant to the Foundation. The Board of the Foundation is free to award the applicants they find suited, and can thus choose not to award any grant, or to award one or more grants and determine the amount paid with every grant. Grants will typically be made with consideration for the profit of the Foundation’s operations.
The deadline for submitting an application is the 15th of April every year. Applications will be received from 1st of January to no later than 15th of April. The Board will – to the greatest extend possible –decide on the awarding of grants before the end of June, and payment will be made immediately thereafter.
It is important that you submit the information requested in the form. When you submit the application, you agree that the Foundation can store your information for 1 year, cf. The General Data Protection Regulation.
AWARDING POLICY
According to the charter, the foundation supports descendants of the founder Johannes Theodorus Suhr’s parents, wholesaler Ole Bernt Suhr and his wife Dorothea Beckman. The Board may determine who they consider worthy of the grant, taking the specific applicant’s needs and income, etc. into account.
You may apply for the grant if you are the descendant of the founder Johannes Theodorus Suhr’s parents, merchant Ole Bernt Suhr and his wife Dorothea Beckman, and are listed in the family register of the Suhr Foundation.
If you are not already listed in the family register, you must send documentation of your descent.
